The above patch seems to fix the build process (tho' no doubt in the wrong way - I have no clue about this whole introspection thing - I just bumped the version to 1.1 and upped the configure check).

This does not result in any *.introspect files for me, but perhaps this is something that has changed in later versions of gobject-introspection??
