Avahi-discover won't find hp printer

I have the mdns feature turned on for my network connected hp photosmart 2710. The bonjour apple plugin on windows finds it correctly but avahi won't. The hostname should be HP2710.local. advertising service "9100 Printing"

This is a limitation of the mDNS stack in your printer: not all stacks implement the functionality to get a list of all service types the stack has a service registered with. Thus, if you explicitly search for services of a certain type you will see your printer, but if just search for all services for all service types the printer will not be seen.

Please check if "avahi-browse _printer._tcp" or "avahi-browse _ipp._tcp" finds your printer.

I think we should add this issue to the FAQ because people keep hitting this issue. Thus I am not going to close this bug now - first the FAQ entry has to be created.
